A team from Go Doc Go traveled back to Senegal in collaboration with Le Korsa to hold trainings and screenings in two locations, Dakar and Kolda. They screened over 200 women and treated 13. The regional hospital in Kolda is now equipped with a LEEP and cryotherapy machine and the nurses and midwives are trained in screening women. The importance of our work was really brought home to us when a woman died from cervical cancer the day before we arrived in Kolda. Had we only started this two years ago there, this death could have been prevented.
